English: Conservation Volunteers New Zealand runs a native plant nursery from their Punakaiki office on the Barrytown Flats, opposite Nīkau Scenic Reserve. They source seed and cuttings locally and grow them on for coastal restoration projects like plantings at Bullock Creek or the planned green roof of the new visitor centre at Punakaiki. Here a worker is potting up Pittosporum tenuifolium seedlings.
